There were two exceptional photos in Tuesday's paper: the beautiful one of Nicollet Mall and the IDS Center after dark, and the one of a mailman trudging through the snow, also in the early darkness. Kudos to the photographers, and to the Star Tribune for publishing them. It is truly a gift to have such an eye for composition, mood and storytelling -- and the photographers passed that "gift" on to readers! Many thanks.
