The part-time Legislature seems to feel it deserves full-time compensation ("Senate: Time to raise pay for lawmakers," April 16). This is nearly the same group that decided to finance a new Vikings stadium based on faulty information provided by an interest group with the most to gain from their ultimate decision. Rather than cash, I suggest the taxpayers compensate these elective officials with electronic pulltab credits. However, based on the performance of those, I'm sure the legislators would insist on paper tabs.

FILE -- A rent deposit slot at an apartment complex in Tucker, Ga., on July 21, 2020.
