Do you remember Nov. 11, 1940? If you lived in Minneapolis then, you'll never forget. I was in ninth grade at Ramsey Junior High. The city was virtually stopped for several days, and Ramsey was closed for three days. The wet snow quickly froze as the temperature descended to sub-zero. I remember walking over to Minnehaha Park the next day, and I could walk on top of the frozen snow. We left Minneapolis later that year, and I now live in North Carolina, but I have nothing but fond memories of the city, with its very fine schools, great park system and unequalled natural beauty.
