Mr Spock may be known for his honesty, but his portrayer seems to have a problem with it. Last week, Leonard Nimoy told a journalist that he would never act again. A shame - until you realize he's said this in the past, even to yours truly.

In July, 2002, Nimoy told me in a phone interview that he had retired from acting. "I just had enough of it," he said. "I didn't want to live in hotel rooms, be on location, donig other people's projects." He also said that he would never play Spock again.

Since that interview, he's appeared in several episodes of "Fringe" and "Star Trek" as - you know it - Mr. Spock.

As an eviction crisis has seemed increasingly likely this summer, everyone in the housing market has made the same plea to Washington: Send money — lots of it — that would keep renters in their homes and landlords afloat.
