The Republican and Democratic legislative campaign arms have raised about $3.8 million so far this year and had about $4.3 million left in the bank, as of campaign finance reports this month.

The DFL side of the ledger posted bigger numbers this year as donors gave in hopes of taking back the Legislature. The DFL House and Senate committees combined raised $2.7 million and had $2.5 million cash on hand as of July 23.

Republicans raised less since the start of the year than their DFL compatriots. The House and Senate Republicans combined raised just over $1 million and had a combined $1.8 million cash on hand.

All four caucus campaign committees started the year with cash in the bank.
