Ben Leber might not have been told what Brett Favre plans to do in 2010, but according to this item in the Sioux Falls Argus Leader the Vikings linebacker sounds extremely confident that Favre is going to play a second season in Minnesota.

"My gut feeling is that he'll be back," Leber said Saturday while speaking with kids about the NFL's "Fuel Up to Play 60" program at Sioux Empire Fitness in Sioux Falls. "He's in a comfortable environment, he had the best year of his career stat-wise, and he's got great chemistry with the guys in the locker room. He's earned the right to listen to his body and mind and take the time to make sure he's mentally right and ready to play. We're willing to wait for him."

Leber also told the NFL Network in February that his "gut feeling" was that Favre would return but said at the time, "A respectable timetable [for Favre to make a decision] is to let us know as early as possible."

Leber, a former Vermillion High standout, also talked Saturday about the Vikings' overtime loss to New Orleans in the NFC title game. "The sting and the pain have worn off, but the experience and the desire to get back there burns pretty hot," he said."We want to go back and redeem ourselves and win that game next time. We're over it collectively but we still use it as motivation."
