President Obama's health care overhaul – the Affordable Care Act of 2010 – has been described as the biggest piece of domestic social legislation in 50 years – and is under ferocious debate in Washington this week, the second anniversary of its passage.

But many Americans are still wondering: How does it affect me? For millions of people who already have insurance through their employers, the answer is, not much. But if you're curious, AARP has partnered with a private consulting firm to create a web-based tool that answers the question.

A press release from Avalere Health describes it this way:

"In less than a month, more than 23,000 consumers have visited the new AARP web-based tool, prepared by Avalere Health, to learn about how the Affordable Care Act (ACA) affects them. By answering a few simple questions, users receive a customized fact sheet with details on the insurance coverage they currently have as well as coverage they may be eligible to receive under the new law. The Health Law Guide is also available in Spanish.

As the ACA continues to be implemented, the Health Law Guide will be updated to reflect the changes that affect consumers. You can read the Health Law Guide here.
