Authorities are saying little about a body that was found Friday in a muddy area near a creek in Coon Rapids.
A worker doing lawn care in the 200 block of Coon Rapids Boulevard found the body, the Anoka County Sheriff's Office said.
The body is believed to be that of a man, and "it is apparent the body has been in the location for some time," said sheriff's spokesman Paul Sommer. It was not immediately known whether the man's death is believed to be criminal in nature or how he died.
The Coon Rapids Police Department, the Sheriff's Office and the county medical examiner's office are investigating.
