A storm accompanied by snow will impact the Midwest Friday night, then spreadacross the Ohio Valley into the mid-Appalachian region Saturday. This is not amajor winter storm by any measure, but there will be enough snow to causetravel delays. The greatest amount of snow (6 inches or more) will be along a narrow band fromsouthern Minnesota toward northwestern Illinois. Southeast of there, snowfalltotals will tend to dwindle, though some enhancement of the snow will takeplace in the Appalachians.
Note: The snowfall map above does not show any of the lake-effect snow thatwill be falling this weekend. Actually, we believe there will be a lull in thatactivity Saturday, then it will pick up again on Sunday.
