Rainfall totals in parts of Florida have already eclipsed a foot, and therain will keep falling as a slow-moving storm lingers over the eastern Gulf ofMexico. The far northeastern corner of the state will continue to bear thebrunt of the rainfall on Thursday. This area will receive 4 to 6 more inches,and locally 8 inches.While the heaviest rain falls over northeastern Florida and far southeasternGeorgia during this time, as much as 2 inches of rain will drench most of theFlorida Peninsula and southern Georgia by late Thursday. Between 0.50 and 1.00inch of rain will soak south-central Georgia and far southern Florida and theeastern Panhandle of Florida.
