Latest on Western Snowfall

The Northwest has been getting snow all day. The snow will continue to pile upTuesday night and Wednesday, and travel will remain difficult over the mountainpasses. Most people can deal with the snow; it's the ice that gives peoplemajor headaches. Eastern Washington, eastern Oregon and southwestern Idaho hadicy conditions Tuesday will continue to get a mix of freezing rain and snowduring the overnight period.The winter storm has been caused by the action of moist air from the Pacificcolliding with a colder air mass across the interior Northwest.
