Latest Northeast Snowfall Map

Snow will continue to pile up in the central Appalachians today with apotent nor'easter spreading cold Canadian air into the region. Numeroussnowfall records were broken Thursday as the rare mid-October snowstorm camerolling in.Already, many areas of central Pennsylvania and southern New York arereporting totals exceeding 5 inches, including our unofficial total taken atthe AccuWeather.com headquarters in State College, Pa.

Snow will continue to add up, and an additional 3-6 inches could fall incentral Pennsylvania through Saturday. The heaviest will be in the Catskillsand Poconos, where as much as 6-9 inches could fall.
