Latendresse returns to Minnesota

Update from Vancouver.

Guillaume Latendresse was sent back to Minnesota today so he can be examined by the Wild's doctors. Latendresse, three games into his comeback and in the middle of his first back-to-back, left last night's game against Dallas in the second period.

He's been complaining about soreness. It's related to his previous abdominal issues.

GM Chuck Fletcher says if all goes well, he'll rejoin the team in San Jose.

As of now, no callup, but the Wild doesn't play Vancouver until Monday. If Mikko Koivu and/or Cal Clutterbuck returns, the Wild wouldn't need to recall a forward.

"We'll see how practice goes tomorrow," Fletcher said in an email. "The coaches will decide on our lineup for Monday tomorrow."

The Wild's off today. Talk to you after Sunday's practice.
