Late-Week Snapshot

A major blast of arctic air will overwhelm the eastern two-thirds of the nationlate this week. A storm that brings snow to much of the Midwest and East thisweek will race off the coast by late Friday. Behind the storm, strong winds andlake-effect snow will resume across the Great Lakes.Much of the far West will remain mild and generally dry. The exception will bethe Northwest coast, as rain creeps in off the Pacific.
