Late-Breaking Snowfall Forecast

It's snowing to beat the band across part of the South this evening, and heavysnow is expected Friday night from Georgia to southeastern North Carolina. Thesnowstorm will continue to cause difficult travel conditions and power outages.Be prepared for major delays on Interstate 95 south of Rocky Mount, NorthCarolina during the overnight period. Interstate 40 south of Raleigh will notbe pretty, either. The storm is already causing problems along interstates 85,75 and 20 through Georgia, though far southern and eastern Georgia are stillgetting rain.

This snowstorm WILL NOT turn northward along the East Coast. It's going out tosea Saturday.
