Make it an evening — of smart talk about today's home design — and tempting treats. "The Value of Great Design," an evening of architecture and design presented by AIA Minnesota and the Star Tribune, is happening Tuesday, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the atrium of International Market Square (IMS).

A panel of architects will share their best remodeling and home design strategies for creating a value-added home. You'll see some of the Twin Cities' best new homes and home makeovers, of all size and scope, and have the opportunity to chat with architects and ask them questions about your personal project.

Plus you'll be there for the big reveal of this year's Home of the Month winners. Tickets are $25 at the door, and include a buffet of hot and cold hors d'oeuvres, catered by D'Amico. IMS is located at 275 Market St., Mpls. □

FILE -- A rent deposit slot at an apartment complex in Tucker, Ga., on July 21, 2020.
