'Larry David Story'

You might think Larry David is ha-ha funny, but he doesn't. "I never thought of myself as funny," he says in this candid two-part documentary in which he talks about the successes and insecurities in his private and professional life. America's favorite cynic goes on to say, "I am a total fraud," and that he is nothing like his David in "Curb Your Enthusiasm." The back-to-back episodes, titled "American Jewboy" and "The Jewish Fountainhead," are directed by his bestie Larry Charles. 8 p.m. Tuesday, HBO

'Joe vs. Carole'

This fictionalized "Saturday Night Live-ish" riff on the Netflix phenom "Tiger King" takes a deeper dive into the rivalry between animal welfare activist Carole Baskin and businessman Joe "Exotic" Schreibvogel. When Carole (Kate McKinnon) finds out Joe (John Cameron Mitchell) is profiteering from breeding big cats, she sets out to shut down his animal park and he goes after her checkered past. Naturally, claws come out and roars are exchanged. Debuts Thursday, Peacock

'The Dropout'

Based on the podcast of the same name and inspired by the true story of a Stanford dropout who made oodles of money by falsely claiming to have revolutionized blood testing, the miniseries packs in an impressive cast — Amanda Seyfried, Laurie Metcalf, Stephen Fry, Naveen Andrews and Sam Waterston to name a few. A sidenote: Kate McKinnon was originally slated to play the lead role as Elizabeth Holmes. Debuts Thursday, Hulu

'The Tourist'

Jamie Dornan of "Belfast" plays a mystery man who wakes up in the hospital with no memory of who he is after being driven off the road in the Australian Outback. He cannot seem to answer questions the police ask and is befuddled when people from his past surface. Now, if only he can remember his name, he won't need to be a man on the run in this six-episode drama. Debuts Thursday, HBO Max

'Late Show With Stephen Colbert'

When President Biden goes live Tuesday to address the State of the Union, which will air at 8 p.m. on the major cable networks, so will Stephen Colbert. The late-night host will tape his show live, and his guests are Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont and indie country rockers Big Thief. It will be Sanders' 14th appearance on the show and the 44th time "The Late Show" has gone live since 2016. 10:35 p.m. Tuesday, WCCO, Ch. 4
