Lakeville South's baseball team has counted heavily on righthanded starting pitcher Will Lundquist since his sophomore season. The senior enters his final year as the school's record-holder for career wins, most strikeouts in a game and lowest ERA for a season. He was an all-conference selection his sophomore and junior years.
Here is a closer look at Lundquist, who signed with Winona State last fall:
The best movie I've seen in the last year? "Act of Valor."
Three songs I never skip on my iPod are ... "The Scientist" by Coldplay; "Can't Tell Me Nothing" by Kanye West; "Someone Like You" by Adele.
Three words my friends or teammates might use to describe me? Entertaining, loyal, competitive.
How do you balance school and sports during the year? After practice, I come home, study and finish up most of my homework.
How did you get started playing baseball? When I was 3 to 4 years old, my dad would play catch with me in the front yard (and sometimes in the house). Since then, I've loved baseball.
At my first varsity practice, I felt ... nervous because I was the only sophomore and felt like I needed to prove myself.
