A 36-year-old man from Lakeville died late Thursday afternoon in a collision with a pickup truck in Prior Lake, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
Andre R. Caine was driving a 2004 Suzuki motorcycle south on Hwy. 13 at 150th Street when a northbound 2011 Ford F150 pickup driven by Benjamin J. Provost, 18, of Prior Lake, turned left at 150th Street on a flashing yellow light. The passenger side of the pickup truck was struck broadside by the motorcycle.
Caine, who was not wearing a helmet, died at the scene, the patrol said.
Provost was not hurt. He was wearing a seat belt, and alcohol was not a factor in the crash, the patrol said.
