What's there? One of the larger and more popular lakes in the Brainerd area, Round Lake offers anglers good walleye, northern, largemouth bass and crappie fishing. Walleye numbers are down, however, and DNR officials are investigating. The lake is regularly stocked with walleye fry, but officials might try stocking fingerlings. Northerns average nearly 4 pounds and have benefited from the 30-inch minimum size restriction and one-fish possession limit. Round also is a good bass and crappie lake. Access: A public access is on the south side of the lake.
