Dreams, psychic readings, intuitive moments and automatic writing are just a few of this Los Angeles-based artist/psychic/playwright's favorite things. This weekend he'll be at White Page Gallery in Minneapolis for a conversation about his work with FD13 Residency for the Arts director Sara Cluggish, and then a group meditation. His mysterious practice as an intuitive and psychic informs his work as director of the Gawdafful National Theater Company. During a residence at the Hammer Museum in L.A., they collected people's dreams from an overnight dream-in. He has also performed at LACMA. Often his work is inspired by a single performative moment, as in a 2011 appearance at Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions that focused on the point in a stand-up routine when a comedian definitively turns against the audience. He's currently working on a new play, "The Dope Elf." (7 p.m. Fri., 3400 Cedar Av. S., Mpls. the-white-page.org. Free. Reserve tickets at https://tinyurl.com/yxjypgd7)

FILE -- A rent deposit slot at an apartment complex in Tucker, Ga., on July 21, 2020. As an eviction crisis has seemed increasingly likely this summer, everyone in the housing market has made the same plea to Washington: Send money — lots of it — that would keep renters in their homes and landlords afloat.
