The veteran pitcher and his wife, Elizabeth, have been active in youth support and relief organizations for many years.
Gibson is scheduled to pitch tonight for the Twins against the Washington Nationals at Target Field after coming off the injured list.
The veteran pitcher and his wife, Elizabeth, had their third child last week. They have been working with relief organizations since 2011, including work to rescue trafficked children in Haiti and the Dominican Republic. The Gibsons are also active with the Twins Community Fund and with Christian and urban youth programs.
