Priority, if elected: To expand everyone's public freedom by tipping the scales of power in favor of the individuals of Minneapolis rather than political parties, corporations, government agencies, or special interest groups. In order to accomplish this, I will increase government transparency by making all city data that doesn't include private information about individuals openly available in a standardized and digital form. I will also defend the privacy of Minneapolis citizens by actively ensuring that our city is a Warrantless Surveillance-Free Zone and that all city employees and law enforcement officers follow the rule of law.
Ideas for job/population growth: I will entice new business and people to Minneapolis by loosening zoning and licensing regulations and by actively ensuring that our city is a Warrantless Surveillance-Free Zone.
Ideas to reduce crime: I will encourage responsible gun ownership and would direct the police chief to make non-violent drug crimes, especially those involving marijuana, the lowest law enforcement priority (LLEP).
Ideas to lower property taxes: Whenever possible, city functions will be replaced by co-ops that utilize the principles of mutual aid, solidarity, voluntarism, and cooperation to reduce the cost of government.
Did you support or oppose the Minnesota Vikings stadium package, approved by the city in May 2012? I opposed the usurpation of the citizen's right, as enumerated in the City Charter, to have stadium subsidies of $10 million or more put to a citywide vote.
Should the city build a $200 million streetcar line along Nicollet and Central Avenues? No.
Should the mayor be allowed to appoint some school board members? No.
