KREAYSHAWN

7:30 p.m. • Varsity Theater • 16-plus • $18-$20

Listening to this Bay Area brat-rapper is the sonic equivalent of a puke and rally: If you can get past the taste of vomit, you'll probably have a good time. Applying the lyrical flair of a stylized text message to simplistic, soulless cadences, the ex-White Girl Mob member flashes faux-gangsta panache over glitter-bomb mall-cruisers (see 2011 viral smash "Gucci Gucci"). The daughter of the Trashwomen's Elka Zolot comes off like a brash, female Fresh Prince for the YouTube generation -- that is, if Will got booted from Bel Air Academy for slangin' weed out of a Lisa Frank backpack. M.I.A.-backed rapper Rye Rye, Honey Cocaine and Chippy Nonstop open. MICHAEL RIETMULDER

FILE -- A rent deposit slot at an apartment complex in Tucker, Ga., on July 21, 2020. As an eviction crisis has seemed increasingly likely this summer, everyone in the housing market has made the same plea to Washington: Send money — lots of it — that would keep renters in their homes and landlords afloat.
