The four days of tournament golf take place Thursday through Sunday, and thePar 3 Classic, as always, happens on Wednesday.
As far as the weather goes, the most likely time for rain and thunderstorms isfrom Monday night through the middle of the day Tuesday. From Wednesday on,there may not be a drop of rain, and a noticeable warm-up will beginFriday.
My favorite Masters of all time was when Jack Nicklaus won it in 1986. Hard tobelieve that happened more than 20 years ago. If I remember correctly, Jackbirdied 9, 10 and 11, then bogeyed 12. The rest of the back nine he wentbirdie, par, eagle, birdie, birdie, par, and wound up winning by a stroke overTom Kite and Greg Norman.
Second on my list of best Masters is the great shoot-out between Tiger Woodsand Chris DiMarco in 2005. Remember that incredible chip in Tiger had on thesixteenth hole?Next week I'll provide more details about the weather at Augusta, and maybe afew more tournament memories.
