The Northeast has been subjected to a seemingly endless barrage of stormsand cold waves this winter. The storm coming now, however, will miss theregion. It is actually on a path that other storms have followed this winter, but this disturbance will fail to turn up the Eastern Seaboard.Wednesday night and Thursday morning, the storm will bring snow and ice to theSoutheast, but accumulating snow won't come much farther north than southernVirginia. That system will sail out to sea Thursday afternoon well south of NewEngland. For the most part, the Northeast will just be dry and cold Thursdayand Friday.
This weekend, a couple of Alberta Clipper-type storms could bring snow toupstate New York and New England, but that won't be a big deal. The clipperswill have the effect of holding a cold flow of air across the Northeast intoearly next week, and milder temperatures will not be fully realized until nextWednesday and Thursday.
