If not, let me tell you about it. First off, it's not that system in the Gulfof Mexico right now. We're looking at something else that will form along theVirginia coast Wednesday night then come sailing north on Thursday. This WILLNOT be a major East Coast event, but it will cause a measurable amount of rainfrom Virginia to Maine. On the rear flank of the storm Thursday, the coldest air mass so far thisseason will be drilling southward through the Midwest. The much colder weatherwill be felt in the Atlantic states and New England Friday and Saturday.
Furthermore, this air mass will be cold enough to support snow showers in theGreat Lakes and eventually the central and northern Appalachians.
There I said it... SNOW! This is not just a maybe. It's going to happen.
Furthermore, snowbelts a few miles away from the lakeshores could pick up a fewinches between Thursday night and Saturday morning. You should not besurprised, though. Attacks of arctic air and lake-effect snow typically becomecommonplace during November.
Mind you, we're right on winter's threshold, and this type of weather has to beexpected.
