Within the next several days, a hurricane will form in the central Atlantic. Not to panic, though. There is a high probability that once the storm gathersstrength it will track more northward than westward. That means it will staywell east of the United States next week and it could pass east of Bermuda aswell.

The potential storm will come from that blob of clouds located west of Africa.

A lot of big hurricanes come from that location this time of year, and somehave caused huge amounts of damage either on the East Coast or along the GulfCoast.

This storm, however, could easily turn out to be one of those 'no harm, nofoul' sort of things. The bottom line is don't lose any sleep over it rightnow. If the track of the storm is going to be different from what we thinkright now, we'll get that information to you in plenty of time.

By the way, did I ever mention the fact that storms don't change direction? That's just a clever way meteorologists have come up with to explain a forecastthat is going awry.
