Koby Bender's hat trick paces Minnesota Duluth over St. Cloud State in NCHC quarterfinals

Koby Bender scored three straight goals in the second period as Minnesota Duluth rallied to beat host St. Cloud State 5-2 on Friday night in the opener of their best-of-three NCHC quarterfinal series in men's hockey.

The host Huskies took a 2-1 lead when Kevin Fitzgerald scored with 38 seconds left in the first period and Nolan Walker at 1:36 of the second on a power play.

North Dakota 2, Colorado College 1: Jake Sanderson and Tyler Kleven scored second-period goals as the host Fighting Hawks edged the Tigers in their NCHS quarterfinal series. Zach Driscoll stopped 15 shots for UND, which beat the Tigers for the fifth time this season and 12th time overall. Jordan Biro scored for CC — 1:12 after Sanderson's goal.
