Kobasew has sprained MCL, sidelined four to six weeks

The Wild will be without injured winger Chuck Kobasew for some time

According to sources, the Wild will be without right wing Chuck Kobasew for four to six weeks with a sprained MCL. There's also some damage to the ACL, but the swelling needs to decrease before the extent is determined. Kobasew's scored four goals and five assists in 27 games since being acquired from Boston. While it hasn't always translated to goals, he's improved the team's speed and ability - or willingness - to go to the net. He was injured Saturday against St. Louis in a collision with teammate Marek Zidlicky. Wild skate at 1:30 pm CT in preparation for tonight's game at the Kings. With no Kobasew, the Wild will either get Derek Boogaard back, play John Scott at forward or perhaps get Petr Sykora back. We'll see. More after the skates.
