Democratic U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar picked up a nod that eluded her six years ago.
She won endorsement from the Minnesota Fraternal Order of Police. The endorsement went to her Republican opponent U.S. Rep. Mark Kennedy six years ago.
"We are kind of all over the map. We are not really Republican or Democrat," said Gary Cayo, Minnesota Fraternal Order of Police state president.
Klobuchar received an A+ from the organization's national arm, said Jim Pasco, executive director and lobbyist for the national Fraternal Order of Police.
Four years ago, the order endorsed Republican John McCain for president. It has not yet endorsed for president in this cycle.
Klobuchar has a significant fundraising advantage over Bills. She has more than $5 million banked to his $64,681. Bills was in Washington, DC Tuesday for a fundraiser with Texas U.S. Rep. Ron Paul and his son Kentucky U.S. Sen. Rand Paul.
