October 22, 2014 at 1:48AM

The killing of a 31-year-old woman in her Indian reservation home west of Duluth has landed a man in jail on suspicion of murder, and authorities reported finding a woman who they were seeking in connection with the case.

The victim's death occurred Sunday in Stoney Brook Township, on the Fond du Lac Indian Reservation. Her identity and a cause of death had not been released as of late Tuesday.

A 31-year-old man from nearby Cloquet was arrested Monday and remains jailed on suspicion of second-degree murder. He has yet to be charged.

After putting out a request for tips leading to the other woman's whereabouts, the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office said it had located the woman, identified as Lydia M. Barney, 21, of Stoney Brook Township, adding that Barney had "additional information pertinent to the investigation."

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the Sheriff's Office at 1-218-727-8870.
