Kill's as feisty as ever

The Gophers coach made a surprise return to practice today.

Jerry Kill returned to Gophers practice after being released this morning by the Mayo Clinic in Rochester.

The first-year coach got to his office around 12:30.

Doctors told him to stick to his prescribed medicine and get his rest.

Practice started at 3:50. Usually, the first 20 minutes are open to the press, but it was closed today. It likely will be closed the rest of the week.

Kill told me, "I'm not talkin' to anyone right now."

Kill's assistant coaches predicted earlier this week that he would be on the sidelines for Saturday's game at Michigan. And they apparently are correct.

Kill was hospitalized at the Mayo Clinic Sunday after suffering a seizure that morning before his scheduled appearance on my radio show.
