Kill hopes Gophers continue limiting turnovers and penalties against Iowa

The Gophers lost last year's turnover battle to Iowa 4-0 and it played out on the scoreboard.

The Gophers have committed just three turnovers and 10 penalties this season, which is a big reason they've won each of their first four games by at least 17 points.

With Iowa coming to town this Saturday, the Gophers can look back at last year's 31-13 loss to the Hawkeyes and see the turnover difference -- Minnesota 4, Iowa 0.

"There's a reason we've had success to this point, but again, you're only as good as your last game," Gophers coach Jerry Kill said at his weekly press conference Tuesday. "What's our discipline and focus going to be [Saturday]?

"Bigger game, Big Ten, Iowa, rival game -- is somebody going to get nervous and jump offsides? I don't know but hopefully we have enough discipline that we don't do that. If we don't have those types of errors, we'll have a chance for success."
