GARRISON, MINN -- Vikings defensive tackle Kevin Williams underwent arthroscopic surgery on his knee in Florida this week. The procedure was performed by noted surgeon James Andrews.
"Everything is all good," Williams told Chip in a text message. Williams returned to the Twin Cities on Friday night and said, "I feel pretty good."
Williams had been scheduled to attend the Vikings' Arctic Blast event this weekend but had to cancel because of the procedure.
Meanwhile, nose tackle Pat Williams said he had surgery a torn left triceps after the season and is again wearing a brace. Williams also wore a brace after elbow surgery last season. The veteran and his representatives are still considering whether to file an appeal to the State Supreme Court over the latest StarCaps ruling.
That case also involves Kevin Williams and potentially could result in a four-game suspension for both players. Both players are represented by attorney Peter Ginsberg. Pat Williams said a decision should be made this coming week.
