Bought out of his contract and released Tuesday, former Timberwolves guard Kevin Martin agreed Friday night to play for San Antonio the rest of this season.

He called the opportunity to play for the five-time NBA championship and title contender again "too good to pass up" after discussions with the Spurs in recent days. He joins former teammate Andre Miller — whom the Wolves released five days before they did the same with Martin — there.

As fate would have it, the Spurs and two former Timberwolves visit Target Center for a game Tuesday.
