Kelliher: There's (another) app for that

DFL gubernatorial candidate gets campaign phone applications for Blackberry and Android, adding to her dominance of iPhone apps

DFL gubernatorial candidates Mark Dayton and Matt Entenza may dominate the television airwaves, where hundreds of thousands of potential voters will see their messages, so far, Margaret Anderson Kelliher owns the smaller screens.

This week, the DFL gubernatorial campaign added campaign applications for the Blackberry and Android phones as well as a mobile-friendly Web site. In the spring, her campaign made an iPhone app available.

Although the iPhone app was the first on the Minnesota political market, until recently it lacked some utility. The only events on it were the primary and general election days. It now includes an updated events calendar.

That the iPhone users were the first to see the Kelliher utility should come as no surprise --although some in her campaign use other devices, the candidate is an avid iPhone user.
