Good morning, commuters!

Windchills approaching minus 30 degrees are making it feel rather arctic out there, and unlike school children work won't start two hours late or close down.

So bundle up and dress in layers if you are taking public transit and will have to be out in the elements. For those heading in by car, today's the type of day that an emergency kit might come in handy should your vehicle break down.

Right now we have one that did on southbound I-35W at County Road C in Roseville.

So far we have no crashes on the system, but then again, we don't have many vehicles out there at the moment, either.

I'll be keeping an eye on the roads and rails this morning, reporting any delays or issues — and I will need your help.

If you see or hear about any congestion, delays or problems, e-mail drive@startribune or tweet @stribdrive.
