Keeping tabs on Wednesday's morning commute

Traffic is on the light side at this hour and no problems getting around. Rain and snow will fall at some point today so be on the watch for changing road conditions.

Good morning, commuters!

The weather is back in the headlines as a winter storm moves across the northern and central parts of the state. Here in the immediate metro, roads are in good shape and dry, but that is not the case in places such as North Branch, Elk River, Princeton, Cambridge, St. Francis and other places to the north.

Traffic is on the light side at this hour and no problems getting around. Rain and snow will fall at some point today so be on the watch for changing road conditions.

I'll be keeping an eye on the roads and rails this morning, reporting any delays or issues — and I will need your help.

If you see or hear about any congestion, delays or problems, e-mail drive@startribune or tweet @stribdrive.
