Keeping tabs on Wednesday's morning commute

As advertised, the first round of the wet, sloppy snow has arrived and left highways and freeways slick and side streets treacherous.

Good morning, commuters!

Or maybe it's not such a good morning. As advertised, the first round of the wet, sloppy snow has arrived and left highways and freeways slick and side streets treacherous.

Plan on a very very slow commute.

At this early hour, the State Patrol is already handing several crashes. You'll find them here:

Westbound 494 at the Cedar Avenue exit. The left lane is blocked.

Westbound 494 at East Bush Lake Road. The right lane is blocked.

Eastbound 94 at Hwy. 280. The right lane is blocked.

Westbound 394 at Hopkins Crossroad. A vehicle hit the guard rail.

I will be keeping an eye on the roads and rails this morning, reporting any delays or issues — and we will need your help.

If you see or hear about any congestion, delays or problems, e-mail drive@startribune or tweet @stribdrive.

FILE -- A rent deposit slot at an apartment complex in Tucker, Ga., on July 21, 2020. As an eviction crisis has seemed increasingly likely this summer, everyone in the housing market has made the same plea to Washington: Send money — lots of it — that would keep renters in their homes and landlords afloat.
