Good morning, commuters!

Crews have finished washing the inside of the Lowry Hill Tunnel and all lanes of east and west 94 are back open to traffic.

Overnight road work on I-694 has wrapped up and two westbound lanes from 35W to Hwy. 252 are open. Traffic is moving swiftly through that stretch right now. We can only hope that lasts.

No problems at the current for northbound I-35 drivers from Elko to Burnsville. That segment of the freeway is a single lane due to road work that is not supposed to wrap up until November.

I will be keeping an eye on the roads and rails this morning, reporting any delays or issues — and I will need your help.

If you see or hear about any congestion, delays or problems, e-mail drive@startribune or tweet @stribdrive.

As an eviction crisis has seemed increasingly likely this summer, everyone in the housing market has made the same plea to Washington: Send money — lots of it — that would keep renters in their homes and landlords afloat.
