Keeping tabs on Tuesday's morning commute

A crash just outside the Lowry Hill Tunnel that is creating a hazard on westbound 94.

Good morning, commuters!

A nice thaw is coming today and that might help melt off some of the ice and snow that has accumulated on our freeways and highways. Oh, we can only hope.

For this morning, mainline roads are generally wet. One lane of eastbound 94 at the Hudson Bridge remains closed. At about 9 p.m. Monday, a vehicle spun out, causing a semitrailer truck to jackknife, hit a guardrail and tip over. Authorities are still cleaning up the mess.

In Eagan look out for a vehicle in the median on Cedar Avenue at Cliff Road.

And in Minneapolis, it's a crash just outside the Lowry Hill Tunnel that is creating a hazard on westbound 94.

I'll be keeping an eye on the roads and rails this morning, reporting any delays or issues — and I will need your help.

If you see or hear about any congestion, delays or problems, e-mail drive@startribune or tweet @stribdrive.
