Good morning, commuters!

Light rain has made roads wet across the wet, so use caution.

A Highway Helper unit is on the shoulder of eastbound I-94 at Lowry Avenue trying to get a pedestrian off the freeway.

Overnight road work is still in place on eastbound 494 at France Avenue and westbound 494 at Nicollet Avenue. Those restrictions should be lifting soon.

We'll see how things go on Hwy. 169 in the south metro today. On Monday, it was an absolute mess as traffic backed up well beyond Canterbury Road in Shakopee due to road work on the Bloomington Ferry Bridge. If possible, leave early or try crossing the river by using Hwy. 41, Hwy. 101 or I-35W.

I will be keeping an eye on the roads and rails this morning, reporting any delays or issues — and I will need your help.

If you see or hear about any congestion, delays or problems, e-mail drive@startribune or tweet @stribdrive.
