Keeping tabs on Thursday's morning commute

Good morning, commuters!

Stop me if you've heard this before: Black ice is a definite possibility today as temperatures are near that minus 10 degree mark. That is in addition to the persistent icy patches left behind by last week's snowstorm.

Some roads in open areas may have drifted over, so use caution on the roads. MnDOT rates them in fair condition.

Currently we have not accidents or issues on the roads.

I'll be keeping an eye on the roads and rails this morning, reporting any delays or issues — and I will need your help.

If you see or hear about any congestion, delays or problems, e-mail drive@startribune or tweet @stribdrive.
