Keeping tabs on Thursday's morning commute

The possibility of black ice is back. Temperatures are far enough below zero that there could be slick spots on the roads, especially on bridge decks and ramps. For that reason, roads are listed in fair condition. Take it easy out there.

Good morning, commuters!

The possibility of black ice is back. Temperatures are far enough below zero that there could be slick spots on the roads, especially on bridge decks and ramps. For that reason, roads are listed in fair condition. Take it easy out there.

We currently have one incident on the roads. A vehicle slid off the ramp from Hwy. 8 to southbound I-35 in Forest Lake.

I will be keeping an eye on the roads and rails this morning, reporting any delays or issues — and I will need your help.

If you see or hear about any congestion, delays or problems, e-mail drive@startribune or tweet @stribdrive.
