Keeping tabs on Thursday's morning commute

Today, we have road work that has westbound 694 down to a single lane from 35W over to past Central Avenue. The word is that all the cones and barrels should be out of the way by 6 a.m.

Good morning, commuters!

Drivers on westbound 694 can hope that we don't have a repeat of Wednesday when overnight road work that ran late caused the freeway to be reduced to a single lane at 35W, and in turn led to major delays for most of the morning rush hour.

Today, we have road work that has westbound 694 down to a single lane from 35W over to past Central Avenue. The word is that all the cones and barrels should be out of the way by 6 a.m.

We also have overnight road work on westbound 494 at 24th Avenue, but that will be gone momentairly. Crews are wrapping up work as we speak.

I will keeping an eye on the roads and rails this morning, reporting any delays or issues — and I will need your help.
