Good morning, commuters!

It's another day of road construction on I-35 in Elko and Lakeville as the freeway is down to a single lane in each direction between County Road 2 and County Road 70. Yesterday things flowed smoothly for most of the rush hour. Let's hope the same thing happens today.

An early crash in the work zone on eastbound 94 at County 37 in Albertville is leading to big delays. The back up is already to County Road 19.

Other overnight road work in progress at this hour includes westbound 494 at 24th Avenue and eastbound 494 at 35W. That should lift fairly soon.

I will be keeping an eye on the roads and rails this morning, reporting any delays or issues — and I will need your help.

If you see or hear about any congestion, delays or problems, e-mail drive@startribune or tweet @stribdrive.
