Keeping tabs on Thursday's morning commute

The big news for drivers on Hwy. 169 is that MnDOT has finished a traffic switch in the construction zone over the Bloomington Ferry Bridge. Traffic will now use the northbound lanes to cross the river instead of the southbound lanes, but don't expect that to make thing any easier, just different.

Good morning, commuters!

We have some other overnight road work still in progress:

  • Eastbound 494 at Xerxes Avenue in Bloomington
    • Westbound 494 at Lyndale Avenue
      • Westbound 94 at the Hwy. 241 exit
        • Eastbound 94 in the Minnesota Road Research zone near Albertville
          • Southbound 35 at 195th Street in Lakeville

I will be keeping an eye on the roads and rails this morning, reporting any delays or issues — and I will need your help.

If you see or hear about any congestion, delays or problems, e-mail drive@startribune or tweet @stribdrive.
