Good morning, commuters!

We start today with a crash in the I-694 work zone in Brooklyn Center. The State Patrol is on the scene of the wreck involving a motorcyclist in the eastbound lanes at Dupont Avenue.

Quick, if you live in the southwestern suburbs and normally drive on Hwy. 169, leave now. No delays across the Bloomington Ferry Bridge. Of course, that won't last long. Traffic has been stacking up around 5:30 a.m. every day this week.

Overnight road work is still in place on eastbound 494 at Xerxes Avenue and westbound at Lyndale Avenue in Bloomington.

I will be keeping an eye on the roads and rails this morning, reporting any delays or issues — and I will need your help.

If you see or hear about any congestion, delays or problems, e-mail drive@startribune or tweet @stribdrive.

As an eviction crisis has seemed increasingly likely this summer, everyone in the housing market has made the same plea to Washington: Send money — lots of it — that would keep renters in their homes and landlords afloat.
