Good morning, commuters!

The roads are dry this morning. A mix of clouds and warm sun are in store for later today. High: 87.

The sinkhole in Robbinsdale remains, as does the closure of County Road 81 between 36th Avenue N. and Hwy. 100. The detour takes drivers along 36th Avenue and Hwy. 100. 42nd Avenue between Broadway and Lakeland Avenue also is closed. Expect this mess to continue through the middle of next week.

Our other work zones where potential traffic problems could develop: Hwy. 169 in both directions between Crosstown and Hwy. 7 and I-35E between Cedar Avenue and the 35E/W split in Burnsville, and 694 from East River Road and Hwy. 252.

I will be keeping an eye on the roads and rails this morning, reporting any delays or issues — and I will need your help. If you see or hear about any congestion, delays or problems, leave a comment here, e-mail drive@startribune or tweet @stribdrive.

As an eviction crisis has seemed increasingly likely this summer, everyone in the housing market has made the same plea to Washington: Send money — lots of it — that would keep renters in their homes and landlords afloat.
